Advent Day 10…. Verity

Lowen Ashleigh is a struggling writer who accepts the job offer from Jeremy Crawford, husband of bestselling author Verity Crawford. He has hired Lowen to complete the remaining books in a successful series his injured wife is unable to finish.

Lowen begins looking through Verity’s notes and outlines, and unexpectedly finds an unfinished autobiography Verity never intended for anyone to read. Page after page of bone-chilling admissions, including Verity’s recollection of what really happened the day her daughter died.

Lowen decides to keep the manuscript hidden from Jeremy, knowing its contents would devastate the already grieving father. But as Lowen’s feelings for Jeremy begin to intensify, she recognizes all the ways she could benefit if he were to read his wife’s words. After all, no matter how devoted Jeremy is to his injured wife, a truth this horrifying would make it impossible for him to continue to love her.

A modern thriller for the collection.

I devoured this book. It was one I couldn’t put down or look away, and it has the best twist at the end!! Soooo good! 100% recommend. 10 out of 10.

I’m not normally one who likes chartreuse, that shade of green is not my fave, but… in this colourway it is so perfectly creepy. Just like the book. In fact I love this yarn. It’s sickly and dark and twisted and perfect.

Scroll all the way down for the day 10 pattern spoiler! It’s amaaaaazing!

Double figures! When did that happen?!
